Care should be taken in selecting the type of cable used
to link the CD- 1 to your processor. If coaxial cable is to
be used it should be 75o1~m, non-capacitive, with a band-
width in excess of 10MHz to prevent dropout errors.
CAUTION: The CD-1 digital output is not designed to
connect directly to any preamp or analog signal proces-
sor.
F. OPERATION OF THE
CD TRANSPORT

. Turn t_he CD transport On by pressing t.he POWER
utton, l-’ress the Open/Close button and the transport
drawer will open. Select a disc andplace it in the CD
receptacle, label side up. Press the Open/Close button
and the transport drawer will close. Now you are ready to
start.
2. The functions of the front panel buttons that control
the transport are described below. All of the functions of
the CD-Iremain the same when used as a dedicated
transport.
PLAY
STOP

Starts the disc playing at track 1;
will also restart play of the current track
Stops the disc from playing and clears all
programming
Forward track select; same as NEXT remote
function
Reverse track select; same as PREV remote
function
Fast forward scan
Fast reverse scan
NOTE: When used as a dedicated transport the analog
outputs can still be used to drive a separate system.
